We strive to provide individuals with developmental disabilities opportunities to make contributions while establishing and maintaining relationships with the people in their community. We serve approximately 189 people in 8 counties.
Diversified Enterprises held their 2025 Leadership Advance (no retreating here!) in Savannah, GA. Dr. Tonya Tift was our guest speaker for the event. Members of leadership, advisory board, human rights committee, people supported, family members, DBHDD Regional Staff, and direct support professionals came together to learn more about advancing towards our common goal and renewing our dedication to the strategic goals of the organization.
Diversified Enterprises participated in the Learning Journey with Sangha Unity Network over 8 months with funding through DBHDD. It was an opportunity for personal growth for each participant and collective discovery for the organization. It provided further commitment to a foundation of supporting self-advocates and person-centered practices.

Kristy served as the Business Operations Manager at Diversified Enterprises from November 2020 to June 2023. Prior to that, she began her career with Diversified as a Payroll Clerk in August 2017, bringing with her a wealth of experience in both direct support and operations management. Kristy’s experience in the field of developmental disabilities began in 2000 as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), and she quickly moved into leadership roles.
Before joining Diversified, Kristy worked for another provider, where she started as a Payroll Clerk, transitioned into direct support, and was eventually promoted to Team Leader/Supervisor and then Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist. Her direct care experience has been invaluable in her ability to understand the needs and challenges faced by both individuals and staff. Having worked directly with individuals in a variety of capacities, Kristy gained firsthand knowledge of the importance of compassionate care, person-centered approaches, and the complexities of managing care plans. This experience has shaped her approach to operations management, allowing her to bridge the gap between frontline care and administrative functions effectively.
Kristy is also a certified Positive Behavior Support Trainer and a certified Person-Centered Thinking Trainer, further enhancing her ability to provide quality, individualized support. Her extensive training experience enables her to mentor and guide staff, ensuring they have the tools needed to support the individuals they serve.
In addition to her work at Diversified, Kristy is actively involved in advocacy and leadership in the broader community. She serves as treasurer for the national board for APSE (Association of People Supporting Employment First) and as treasurer for the Georgia Learning Community. Kristy also serves on the SPADD board, where she contributes to advancing opportunities for people with disabilities.
Kristy holds a certification as a Direct Support Professional, an Accounting Diploma from East Central Technical College, an AAS in Computer Information Systems from Wiregrass Technical College, and a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Valdosta State University. Her background in operations, leadership, and accounting, paired with her extensive experience in direct care and her involvement in key professional organizations, has equipped her with a well-rounded perspective and a strong commitment to improving both the support provided to individuals and the overall effectiveness of the organization.
