Diversified Enterprises Community Employment Supports are specialized services that matches the community employment needs with individuals that have dynamic strengths and talents. Each person supported is individually coached and prepared for the workforce. Our employment specialists analyze job requirements and match them with individual capabilities to ensure a long-lasting working relationship. Our Employment Specialists carefully evaluate both the prospective employee and the job at-hand to ensure that each person’s abilities and skills are matched to specific employer needs. Then employment specialists, who work right alongside each new employee, assists in supervision and provide on-the-job training.

Diversified Enterprises Offers New Services
Pre-Ets now offered as of November 2023 !
Diversified Enterprises provides Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) funded through GVRA, to eligible students aged 14-21. This program is designed to assist students with disabilities in transitioning from high school to employment or higher education. These services are provided at local high schools and include activities such as job exploration counseling, work-based learning experiences, counseling on post-secondary education opportunities, workplace readiness training, and instruction in self-advocacy. Pre-ETS aims to empower students with disabilities to achieve their career and education goals by providing them with the necessary skills and support.
Diversified Enterprises is also preparing to offer the GROW program which offers Pre-ETS camp for a week during the summer, enhancing your student in job and post-secondary education readiness.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month
The US Department of Labor has declared October to be National Disability Employment Awareness Month. Diversified Enterprises would like to spotlight employers in Tift County for employing people with Disabilities. First Products has employed Gary Simmons for over 18 years. He has developed invaluable social roles in our community through their employment and the relationships he has built while working. His boss has taught him how to drive, taken him into his home/family life, and they have a friendship that all of us would love to have. Gary’s supervisor, Pete Moore, says, “Gary never comes in with a bad attitude.” He can brighten the day of all the staff at First Products. Thank you, First Products, for employing people with disabilities. We know Gary is a prized employee!

Diversified Enterprises would like to spotlight Chili’s for employing people with Disabilities. Lane Brown was hired when Chili’s first opened its doors in Tifton. Lane comes in every day with a smile on his face. Working at Chili’s has helped Lane develop and keep friends here in Tifton, and he usually shows up an hour early willing to go above and beyond to help wherever he is needed. Lane and Chili’s are a prime example of how people with disabilities make positive impacts wherever they work.
