Direct Support Professional (DSP)

DSP Position Overview

We’re looking for Direct Support Professionals to fill openings immediately in Tifton, GA. Our DSPs are the link to the community for those who we serve. Whether you are taking someone fishing for the first time, taking them shopping, helping them prepare for a job interview, helping them do their own laundry, or assisting them with person care, at the end of your work day, you will know that you have made a lasting difference in someone’s life. Compensation & Benefits

A Direct Support Professional just staring will make $11.00 per hour. Diversified offers benefits for both full time and part time employees. We are one of the very few agencies that offer Paid Time Off (PTO) to both full time and part time staff. We offer a FREE Telemedicine package to our staff and their household which also comes with a prescription discount card. We also offer discounted rates on supplemental insurance! Full time staff can take advantage of Health Insurance packages as well. Another perk is the discount you can get on your auto insurance after you take our defensive driving course.

You will receive paid in-house trainings in Medication Administration, Basic Life Support and First Aid, MANDT, Documentation, and AAA and we will provide the opportunities and context of how to use your new skills! Bring the right attitude and we will train you for success!

Experience & Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED (or pass TOFHLA Exam)
One year of working with people with developmental disabilities (preferred)
18 years of age or older (required)
Valid Georgia Driver’s License and valid auto insurance in your name
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
Clear Tuberculosis screening and Employee Physical
Effective computer skills to complete electronic documentation and online training
Team Player with a positive attitude who wants to learn, grow, and make a difference in someone’s life.

Team Leader

Team Leader Position Overview

Team Leader's manage the total operation of the designated community home and the assigned staff. Responsible for health, welfare, and development of individuals supported, and for managing and coordinating all aspects of the assigned community home. Responsible for the supervision and performance evaluations of direct support professional, including input on corrective action. Responsible for coaching staff to perform at their fullest potential. Responsible for compliance with all applicable state regulations, as well as agency policies and procedures by performing the following duties working from a basic schedule of Monday thru Friday, including varying days and hours, weekends and periodic observation of night shifts. This position requires 24 hour availability to staff and individual needs. This position demands continued use of independent decision making and following all safety and health-related policies and procedures.

Experience & Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED (or pass TOFHLA Exam)
Two years experience, one year of working with people with developmental disabilities, one year managerial experience in a similar workplace (preferred)
21 years of age or older (required)
Valid Georgia Driver’s License and valid auto insurance in your name
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
Clear Tuberculosis screening and Employee Physical
Effective computer skills to complete electronic documentation and online training
Team Player with a positive attitude who wants to learn, grow, and make a difference in someone’s life.
