Diversified Enterprises is committed to providing innovative and person-centered services for individuals with disabilities. We strive to provide individuals with developmental disabilities opportunities to make contributions while establishing and maintaining relationships with the people in their community. We serve approximately 189 people in 8 counties.
Diversified Enterprises held a Logo Refreshing Contest among high school and college students during the Fall 2017 semester. The design that was chosen as our new logo was created by, Crystal "Bemis" Smith.
Bemis Smith is a 27 year old from Waycross, Georgia. Bemis graduated from Valdosta State University in
December 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Art. Bemis loves graphic design and illustration, and she hopes to use her passion to work as a graphic designer and freelance illustrator.
Diversified Enterprises is a nationally accredited provider of support and training services to individuals who experience developmental disabilities. Our agency is governed by the Tift County Board of Health.
Diversified Enterprises has worked diligently to prepare for the presence of COVID-19 in our communities. We continue to prepare and update or response guidelines as more information about this outbreak becomes available.
Each month Diversified Enterprises recognizes one individual as Person Centered Champion of the Month. Nominations for person centered champion can be submitted by anyone in the organization. Nominations are then reviewed by the PCO (Person Centered Organization) Committee and the champion for the month is determined.
Person Centered Champion of the Month is recognized at the Advisory Board meeting, where they are presented with a certificate and check.

People First of Tifton is a self-advocacy group that meets once a month at Diversified Enterprises.
Dave has spent a career "pushing rocks uphill" through his passion for chipping away at the barriers to person centered supports and integrated services. Dave has been a leader in the field of supporting individuals with disabilities for more than 30 years working to develop integrated employment programs, residential supports and a variety of community based day/leisure services. His passion led him to the Executive Director role in 2016 at Diversified Enterprises, which only provides integrated supports or services without walls. Prior to relocating to Georgia, he had spent the majority of his career working in Virginia providing leadership to a variety of organizations that support individuals with disabilities. Dave has held leadership positions for a variety of advocacy and public policy groups in both Virginia and nationally including Chair of the Disability Advisory Council for the Disability Law Center of Virginia and the American Horticultural Therapy Association. Dave currently serves on the Georgia Learning Community Board of Directors and is a mentor for GA Leadership LAUNCHpad. Dave has also been a guest lecturer at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, Old Dominion University (ODU) and other Virginia Universities in the areas of nonprofit management, program development, diversity and inclusion. Dave has a Bachelors in Psychology from Old Dominion University and a Master's of Science in Management from Troy University.
Darrin Wilson is the Chief Operating Officer for Diversified Enterprises. He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with special emphasis on Management from Georgia Southwestern State University and went on to receive his master’s degree in Business Administration also from Georgia Southwestern State University. He supervises all finances, operations, facilities, technology and human resources of the agency. He began his professional career as an advertising and marketing consultant for Thompson Newspapers straight out college. He spent 18 years in the newspaper industry attaining the position of Advertising/Marketing Director for the Tifton Gazette and eventually as Publisher of The Camilla Enterprise and Pelham Journal. Darrin credits his work in the newspaper industry for shaping and increasing his knowledge on how all businesses interact in a community and the unique challenges each of them encounter. After moving on from the newspaper industry in 2010, he went forward working as a Project Manager in the telecommunications field and as a Purchasing/In-side Operations Manager for an international manufacturing company before arriving at Diversified Enterprises in August of 2013. While viewed as an individual with a peaceful and calm demeanor, Darrin is very enthusiastic about the services that Diversified Enterprises provides to the community and to the people they support. “It’s a privilege to work with such a highly trained and experienced staff with one common goal in mind, to make each and every person we support an engaged and appreciated member in their community” states Wilson. He also encourages anyone that is responsible for an individual with disabilities to stop by the office anytime and inquire about the services we provide.
